PILOT OFFICER S.C. NIYEN

Pilot Officer S. C. Niven, yesterday reported missing on an operational flight, was well known to the youth of Wellington as, prior to his enlistment, he was boys' .work secretary of the Wellington V.M.C.A. Educated at Brooklyn School, Wellington College, and Feilding Agricultural College, he was prominent in sport in all three schools, and subsequently, in Taranaki, cricket and swimming claimed his attention. He entered Weraroa Training School in November, 1939.
