EMPIRE AIRMEN

LARGE PART IN SUPPORT OF

TROOPS

LONDON, December 13,

Soldiers and airmen from many parts of the Empire are taking part in the successful British operations in Egypt. There are soldiers from India, Australia, and New Zealand in what Mr. Churchill described as the Army of the Nile.

. A squadron of the Royal Australian Air Force has been specially mentioned as having played a large part in supporting the advanced Imperial force. The squadron has accounted for seven Italian aircraft and has done excellent' work in covering British troops.

New Zealand, South African, and Canadian pilots have also distinguished themselves in the air fighting.
