CHRISTMAS PANTOMIME.
The. Christmas Pantomime -in Victorian days was one of the few excitements of the children of that era. Nowadays, even during war, it is still a favourite in the English, theatre. Every year in London "Peter Pan" is presented, and many people will remember its successful.performance in Wellington some years ago. This year an old favourite w is being presented in hew guise—"Red Riding Hood"—a new play which recently arrived, in New Zealand. Mr. W. S. Wauchop is direct* ing the pantomime • for the Victoria League, which wil send the proceeds'to their hostels in London and Edinburgh for men overseas.
