PICTON-BLENHEIM EXCURSION.

A day excursion to Picton, with train connection to Blenheim, will be> made on Boxing Day by the 6000-ton express steamer Rangatira. Leaving the steamer express wharf. at. 8 a.m., she should reach Picton at about 10.30 a.m. A special train for Blenheim will leave at 11 a.m., and will give time for lunch and a ramble round the Marlborough capital or a visit to friends before leaving again for Picton. to connect with the Rangatira. Special launches will be arranged to run to beauty- spots across the Sound, including Tores and Onahau Bays, where lunch can be obtained by a walk over the hill .to. the accommodation houses, and Thompson's Bay. Those who elect to stay, about Picton will find plenty to do. There will be a rowing regatta on the harbour and there are nice picnic spots about the little town and some delightful walks .in the neighbourhood. The Rangatira will leave Picton on her return at 2.30 p.m., and should berth again at Wellington shortly after 5 p.m. -
