CHOIR OF 600 VOICES.

Sunday Next, The largest choir ever assembled ia Wellington, 600 voices, will sing from the pavilion of the Basin Reserve oa Sunday afternoon during a choir and, band concert for the Wellington quota of the £1,000,000 patriotic appeal. With the approach of Christmas it is fitting that carols should be sung, and six of the most popular are included in the programme. In addition two Choruses from Handel's' "Messiah" will be sung, "And the Glory of the Lord" and. the mighty "Hallelujah Chorus.'? I All these will be sung to accompaniments provided by the Port Nicholson. Silver Band. The band programme alone should be most attractive; including as it will items by the' Trentham, Military Silver Band under .Lieutenant i Charles Pike, and massed playing by the leading bands of the-city,and suburbs. Altogether the festival • will •be unique in Wellington and should, swell considerably the £1,000,000 ' patriotsappeal fund.
