Mrs. Hannah J?ne gtallworthy, of Aratapu, whose death occurred at the age of'9o, vras the wiSow of the late Mr. John Stallworthy, a former M.P. for Kaipara, states an exchange. Mrs. Stallworthy was born in ' Cornwall, England, in 1849, and arrived in New Zealand in 1872. She was married iri the Methodist £hurch.' id Wliangaroa in 1873. Mr. Stailwthjr died in 1923. Descendants of Mrs. Stallworthy number over 100 and include no .feyyer than nine children, 41 grandchildren, 63 great-graiidchildren, arid three great-great-graiidchildren. One pf her sons is Mr. A. J. Stallworthy, of Epsom, a former M.P. for Eden and Minister of Health, and among her grandchildren are* Dr. J. A. Stallworthy, of Oxford, England, and Dr. K. A. Stallworthy, of Auckland.
