CONVICTED SPY SHOT IN FRANCE

PARIS, February 7.
Karl Roos, the Alsatian autonomist leader, who was convicted as a spy last October, was shot at dawn.
correspondent says he frequently drove over, the road before it was rebuilt, and in his opinion the road was then a perfectly good highway fitted for the conditions surrounding it and with attention, should have given good service for many years to com?. But the Minister in his wisdom caused a road to be made which the correspondent considers will be a source of trouble and expense to the community. Provision should have been made for the' detritus difficulty before the road was started. The correspondent also questions the suitability of the camber and grass-dividing line.
