INCREASE OF OVER
£2500
LORD GALWAY'S APPEAL
Since the publication approximately ten days ago of donations to the National Patriotic Fund in response to the appeal for funds by his Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Galway, as chairman of the National Patriotic Fund Board, the total has risen by over £2500 and is now £22,707 11s Id.
The latest list, the fifth to be issued by the board, includes a contribution of £1000 from the Reserve Bank o! New Zealand and also contributions from a number of business firms. In addition, there are donations from a number of private citizens whose support in large numbers to enable the board to do the very best possible for New Zealand's sailors, soldiers, and airmen is of the greatest importance. With the wholehearted assistance of the great mass of the people the funds will increase appreciably week by week. The latest list of donations is as follows:—
