WATER SUPPLY AT DAY'S BAY
(To the Editor.)
Sir—l can genuinely. sympathise with "Worried" over the water | troubles in his district. vHe should come to Day's Bay to live. Here there is a magnificent supply, thousands of gallons are running to waste down the water channels, whilst the householders have to conserve every drop. The outlet pipes from the reservoir are so corroded, and the pressure is so poor that it will not reach the storage tanks of the residents if they are on a slight elevation, and they are dependent on their more fortunate neighbours lower down. Nearly every home has a septic tank, and these need a constant supply of water which is not available. Perhaps the City Engineer could visit the locality and see for himself the existing state of affairs, before the hot weather arrives.—l am, etc., TWO POUNDS WATER FEE.
