DOCTOR'S RETIREMENT

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

MASTERTON, This Day.

After having been medical superintendent of the Masterton Hospital for over forty years, Dr. Archer Hosking is retiring from that position today. He was entertained at the Nurses' Home on Wednesday night by the medical practitioners and the past and present nursing staffs. Ex-nurses from many parts of New Zealand were among those present.

A former sister, Mrs. J. Bryce, on behalf of the nursing staff, presented Dr. Hosking with a cheque in recognition of his many years' service, and Dr. N. H. Prior, on behalf of the medical practitioners, presented him with a case of pipes and a set of books. He emphasised the splendid services rendered by Dr. Hoskirig and referred to the friendly relationships that had always, existed between.... the medical superintendent and his colleagues and the staff.
