WAR RELIEF ASSOCIATION
The* total available funds .as at February 28 last were reported at.today's meeting of the executive committee of the War Relief Association of Wellington to be £12,922, of which £12,550 was investments.
/ The applications and emergency committees reported that since the last meeting of the executive committee on February 22 claims totalling 75 had been dealt with and confirmed. There were 23 cases still under action, making the total number of claims received 98.
The number of applications submitted during the month indicated a decrease in the number of unemployed ex-servicemen. The majority of the applications had been lodged by men who were practically unemployable, and whose only income was the war veterans' allowance and sustenance.
