FALL OF ROCK
MAN'S LEG AMPUTATED
Injuries which necessitated the amputation of his left leg were suffered by Mr. Toni Bakrich, aged 48, when he was caught in a" fall of rock, states a Taumarunui correspondent. Mr. Bakrich was boring holes for blasting purposes on the tramline of Ellis, and Burnand,. Limited, in the bush near Ongarue,. and he was caught in a slip which occurred suddenly.
The injured man was admitted to the Taumarunui Hospital. •
