BOROUGH SAFE RIFLED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, This Day. The Borough Council Chambers were the scene of a burglary last night. The intruder prised open a locked drawer in a secretaire in the Town Clerk's office, revealing a bunch of thirty duplicate keys for the strong ! room dnd safe. All the cash boxes were j rifled, £100 in cash and £160 in cheques being stolen. No clue has been discovered as to the perpetrator.
