LEVIN, This Day. " There was a very large yarding of sheep and pigs at the sale. Sheep met with a very brisk demand and the entire offering was cleared under the hammer at late rates. Pigs were again easier, owing to the big entry, but all were sold. Cattle met with a good demand and prices were firm. The associated auctioneers report the following prices:—Sheep: Store ewes, 6s to 12s; two-tooth ewes, 22s Id, 245; four- to six-tooth ewes, 17s 3d, 18s; s.m. ewes, 13s; wether lambs, 10s 4d, 12s; b.f. lambs, 13s 3d; ewe lambs, 10s 3d, 13s 6d; fat two-tooth wethers, 18s; fat wethers, 15s 6d to 20s 2d; fat lambs, 15s 6d to 20s. Cattle: Light fat cows, £3 7s 6d to £3 15s; medium fat, £4 5s 6d to £5 15s; heavy, £7 to £7 7s; 20-month steels, £4 8s; weaner heifers, £2 9s to £2 13s 6d; cows in milk, £3 10s; potter bulls, £4 12s 6d to £7.
