OBITUARY

MRS. OLIVIA ELLISON

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, January 29. The death occurred on Thursday at Otakou of Mrs. Olivia Ellison, wife of the late Mr. David Ellison. She was a granddaughter of Karetai, one of the principal chiefs of Otago when the European settlement was established, and was aged 58 years. A tangi was held on Friday and Saturday, and Mrs. Ellison was interred today at Otakou Cemetery. There was a large gathering of Maori and pakeha mourners.
