HANDKERCHIEF TEA

PARTIES FOR MISS J. REID

A party was given at Lady Frazer's home, Portland Crescent, yesterday afternoon for Miss June Reid, whose marriage to Mr. Louis Hancock will take place shortly. The hostess was Lady Frazer's dau#iter, Mrs. Edward Bell. Lovely pink rhododendrons and stock decorated the drawing-room and study. A floral ninon frock in bright colours was worn by Lady Frazer. Her daughter was wearing a floral sprigged black taffeta frock, and Miss Reid wore a smart black suit and a grey sailor hat.

Each of the guests brought the bride-elect a gift of a handkerchief in which was enclosed'an original limerick. The limericks were read aloud by Miss Reid when she opened the parcels and they caused much amusement. -

Among others present were Mrs. Malcolm Reid (mother of the brideelect), Mrs Gordon Reid, Mrs. Bernard Johns, Mrs. S. Burney, Mrs. W. Toogood, Mrs. Brian Reid, Mrs. Lan Reid, Mrs. Guy Leathern, Miss Leathern (Auckland),' Mrs. C. J. Morrish, Miss Ray Bayly, and Miss Dorothy Pengelly.

Numerous parties have be«?n arranged for Miss Reid, among others who have given, or are about to give, parties being Mrs. Howard Reid, Mrs. Bernard Johns, Mrs. John Plimmer, Mrs. W. Toogood, and Mrs. S. Burney.
