ARTS AND CRAFTS

Flowers set off and adorned the display of beautiful art and craft work done by members of the Wellington Central branch of the Townswomen's Guild during the last few months. These were shown at a party".recently when the visitors were welcomed by Mrs. E. Marshall (convener of the circle). She was presented with a bouquet of lovely flowers by members of the cicle. Later in the afternoon two other presentations were made, one to Mrs. J. Pow (Dominion president) , who received an artistically decorated .pewter tray, and the other was t6 Mrs. E. Marshall. Both ladies responded, and expressed their appreciation of the gifts and kindness that prompted them, and congratulated the members of the circle on the excellent progress they had made with their work. Afternoon tea and inspection of the work closed'a particularly pleasant afternoon.
