ARTS AND CRAFTS
Flowers set off and adorned the display of beautiful art and craft work done by members of the Wellington Central branch of the Townswomen's Guild during the last few months. These were shown at a party".recently when the visitors were welcomed by Mrs. E. Marshall (convener of the circle). She was presented with a bouquet of lovely flowers by members of the cicle. Later in the afternoon two other presentations were made, one to Mrs. J. Pow (Dominion president) , who received an artistically decorated .pewter tray, and the other was t6 Mrs. E. Marshall. Both ladies responded, and expressed their appreciation of the gifts and kindness that prompted them, and congratulated the members of the circle on the excellent progress they had made with their work. Afternoon tea and inspection of the work closed'a particularly pleasant afternoon.

Mrs. Be van received her guests wearing a model gown of French 'chiffon patterned with pink, green, and beige flowers on a black background, and worn with a threequarter sleeveless coat of the same material. She wore a lkrge black straw hat and carried a posy of pink and mauve.stock. \ , When the bride and bridegroom left Mrs.' Wilson wore- a navy and white patterned Canadian silk sheer frock finished at the neck, sleeves, and hem with bands of navy taffeta and having a long navy sash. The frock was worn under a navy redingote. A matching straw hat finished with a navy and white spotted veil was worn. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Wilson's ri future home will be in Victoria, Australia.
