FUTURE OF RUTHENIA
AUTONOMY PROPOSAL
CHECK TO HUNGARIAN PLAN
PRAGUE, October 11.
The formatio*i of an autonomous Ruthenian Government withip the Czech State is a setback to the Polish and Hungarian plans to detach Ruthenia from Czechoslovakia and unite it with Hungary, which is not unanimously supported by Ruthenian Hungarians and is also regarded without enthusiasm by Germany. The "Boersen Zeitung" (Berlin) issues a warning to Poland and Hungary against a common frontier pointing out that it would mark the inception of a policy similar to that which brought down Dr. Benes.
