OBITUARY
MRS. SARAH NICOL.
Mrs. Sarah Eliza Jane Nicol died at Masterton yesterday. Mrs. Nicol, who was the wife of the late Mr. Robert Nicol, resided at 102 Lincoln Road. The funeral will take place at the Karori Crematorium at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
The late Mrs. Nicol was born m Mount Bruce district, Masterton, 72 years ago. She was a daughter of the late Hugh Campbell, who had a large holding on the upper plain in the early days. Her marriage took place in Masterton 46 years ago, her husband being a farmer of Rongomai, Eketahuna. They also lived in the Karori district for 15 years before going to live in Masterton. Mrs. Nicol predeceased his wife 28 years ago. Their family includes two sons, Mr. H. Nicol (Greytown) and Mr. R. Nicol (Auckland), and three daughters, Mrs. M., G. Tomkin (Melrose, Wellington), Mrs. E. Westwood (Kil« birnie), and Miss I. O. Nicol-(Master-ton). Mrs. M. A. Ray (Carterton) and Mrs. M. Baker (Mount Bruce) are sisters, and Mr. J. Campbell (Mount Bruce) is a brother.
