MR. NASH'S TOUR
' ; (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 28. For the most part the Minister of Fihkhce (thei Hon. W. Nash) received an attentive hearing when he addressed an audience of about t 4OO people in the JNi'atear HaU - tonight. This was. considered to be the largest political meeting held on, the Hauraki Plains for some years. At the beginning of the meeting a section of the audience displayed a certain amount of hostility to the Minister, but as the speaker proceeded the opposition largely subsided, and; -for the rest of the evening he was listened to with little interruption. An emphatic denial that the Government intended to reduce the price for dairy produce if it was returned to . office was given by Mr. Nash, who referred to a.specific provision in " the i price regulations which contained an obligation to pay the price fixed. "I do say that the Government has taken on that obligation and has written it into an Order in Council and that we will pay the price fixed. A motipn of thanks and confidence in the Minister and the Labour Government was declared carried.
