The low-pressure large-section pneumatic tyre has helped materially to popularise the tractor for farm work during the last few years, the air-

tyre equipment enlarging the scope of usefulness besides cutting down operating time and fuel costs. Pneumatic-tyre equipment on new farm tractors is likely to become general in all parts of the world, so great are the advantages. Many steel-shod tractors already owned by agriculturists are being brought up to date and rendered more efficient by conversion to pneumatics.
