In front sits John Cobb, in his driving seat, and behind is Reid Railton, designer of this car, in which Cobb hopes to better whatever new record Captain G, E. T. Eyston establishes with the "Thunderbolt." Behind the car is the streamlined body, which fits over in one piece. The picture on top shows the car complete, as it appears from the front. The lowness of the body can be gathered from the two pictures, Cobb's head being in the conning tower. There are no fins. Railton regards a fin as of no use unless the car skids badly, and that even then its value is problematic. When the . body is complete the wheels will have streamlined fairings.
