MRS. W. CLAYTON.

Many friends will learn with regret of the death of Mrs. W. Clayton, widow of the late Mr. William Clayton, who predeceased her about three years ago. Mrs. Clayton was the daughter of the late Mr. Richard Cameron, a former manager of the Auckland Savings Bank. She was married in 1893, and lived in Wellington ever since. Mrs. Clayton was devoted to gardening, and made one of the most beautiful gardens at Lower Hutt. She was one who made most attached friends, and will be much missed by a large circle. Her family consists of Mr. Kenneth Clayton (Palmerston North), Mr. Colin Clayton (Wellington), and Mrs. Russell Moore (Rangiotu). There are eight grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters who survive here are Miss Ethel Cameron (a sister who lived with her), Messrs. E. R. and Geoffrey Cameron (Auckland), Messrs. Harry Charles, and Arthur Cameron (San Francisco), Mrs. Elsie Sattler (Frankfort), and Mrs. Annersley Smith (Auckland). Much sympathy will be felt with Mrs. Clayton's family, and especially with her sister, Miss Cameron, who has shared with her1 the love of the beautiful and taken a keen interest in the garden which was such a joy to Mrs. Clayton.
