V FRENCH POLICY

WILL HONOUR OBLIGATIONS TO CZECHOSLOVAKIA

It is understood that the Foreign Minister, M. Paul Boncour, informed the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate that the Government will avoid armed force in the settlement of any dispute over Czechoslovakia. France would honour her treaty obligations, but these did not involve automatic intervention.

The Government was opposed t« armed intervention in Spain, he said, and no French arms were being shipped to the loyalists.
