Informatidn was sought in the Housa of Commons regarding the representations made to the Mexican. Government concerning the treatment of British interests in Mexican oilfields.
In reply, Mr. R. A. Butler, Foreign. Under-Secretary, said that the British Minister officially drew the attention of the Mexican Government to the.pro-' found anxiety of the British Government at the probable consequences to. established British interests as a result of the verdict of the Mexican Supreme Court. The British Govern? ment, which had informed the Mexican Government that it reserved its full rights in the matter, was now examining the situation resulting from thß expropriation decree.
