MR. WILLIAM SHAPCOTT

The death occurred-at the Wellington Hospital on Wednesday of Mr. William Shapcott, aged 61, of; 11- Dasent Street,Karori. . " • •■ :

- Mr. Shapcott was a prominent mem» fae'r of the Karori Bowling Club and was a respected member of Lodge Karori 247. ;

Though at his death he was in'the employ of the Wellington Harbour Board, hehad b'eenan sick leave for some time.' He joined the Harbour Board in 1902 as a casual employee^ and was appointed to the permanent staff in 1916. - '

Mr. Shapcott is survived by his wife and two daughters, Misses Joari: and Valeric Shapcott. ' ■ ■

The funeral took place at the Karori Cemetery this1 afternoon. r' '
