SCHOOL BOARD

INCREASED ALLOWANCE

The Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) announced today; that education boards, high school boards, and technical school boards are being authorised to increase from 5s per week to 7s 6d per week the boarding allowance payable to children who are unable to attend public primary schools or post-primary schools without boarding away from home.

The increased allowance will be paid from the beginning of the third term of 1937. ■ i • •
