Pleading guilty to. obtaining, seven gallons of petroj »on .November 5 at Taumaruftui by a. false pretence, Max-; well Ernest Butler,, mechanic, aged 25; appeared before Mr. W. F. StilweU, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today.

Here he represented that his name was Schultz, and that he was- employed: by Meredith Motors, of Hamilton, which firm had an account at the station. , He was supplied with the petrol.
