VAGRANCY CHARGE
"That is a place where they look after you," said the Magistrate, Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court this morning when he committed Henry Edward Jefferd, a labourer, aged 67, to six months' imprisonment in the Wanganui Prison. Jefferd was found guilty of being a rogue and a vagabond, in that he had insufficient means of support, having been previously convicted of being an idle and disorderly person. .-.,„* Sub-Inspector C. E. Roach said that the accused, who was an old man, would not stay in a home,, and was in 1 a filthy condition.
