Entries were under the average number at today's Addington market in drizzling weather. Store sheep were more heavily represented, and there was a good sale. Ewe hoggets sold at Is 6d in advance, as also did ewes and lambs. Wether hoggets were from Is 6d to 2s better. Fat sheep opened strongly at an advance for ewes of 2s 6d a head and for wethers of 2s, but in the later stages of the sale values receded for wethers to last week's rates, with half of the ewe increase also lost. Extra prime heavy wethers made to 51s 7d; prime heavy, 38s to 425; prime mediumweight, 33s to 37s Id; ordinary, 29s to ; 325; extra prime heavy ewes, to ,41s 10d; prime heavy, 31s to 355; prime medium-weight, 28 3 to 30s; ordinary ewes, 23s 6d to 27s 6d. The fat cattle entry of 480 head was a few more than last week. Quality was outstanding, with too many heavyweights. For this class there was an easing of up to 15s a head, but other classes sold at last week's improved rates. Extra prime heavy steers made to £18 17s 6d; prime heavy, £14 to: £16; others, £10 to £13; best heifers. £11 to £13 17s 6d; good, £9 to £10 10s- best cows, £10 10s to £13 2s 6a; prime, £8 10s to £10; others, down to There was a small entry of vealers and a good sale for quality. Runners made £3' to £8 13s; vealers, £2 15s to £5 2s 6d;-calves. 20s to £2 12s. The dairy cattle market was a shade better, and there were only a few pens of stores forward. t The fat pig entry was slightly heavier and the market was scarcely so keen. Choppers made from £33s 6d to £4 18s 6d; porkers, 33s 6d to £3 7s 6d; average price a pound 7d to 7Jd; baconers, £3 lls 6d to£s 5s 6d, average a pound, 6Jd to 7id. Except for weaners, which were down by 2s to 3s a head the sale for store pigs was a good one. Weaners brought 12s to 18s; stores 21s to 30s, sows in pig, £3 to £8 7s 6d.
