"FIVE O'CLOCK" RECEPTION

About 150 of the young people who are members of the National Club's junior branch, known as the National Uniori, attended the Coronation "five to seven" reception held by the union in the club last evening.

In addition to 'decorations of "the colours" bowls 7of beautiful tawny chrysanthemums were arranged about the lounge where crackling fires fended off the frosty night air and made every--thing look very cheerful. Mr. Roach performed some clever impersonations for the amusement of the guests to piano accompaniments played by Miss Cook.

Refreshments were handed round, and Mr. 0- C. Mazengarb (president) proposed the toast to their Majesties the King and Queen. Among those present were Mrs. Mazengarb, Mr. Claude Weston (vice-president) and Mrs. Weston, Mr. H. F. Toogood (vicepresident)" and Mrs. Toogood, Mr. and Mrs. Clive Brown; the Misses Marjorie Ariscombe, Pat and Billie Gledhill, Thelma Hutton, June Allison, Beverley Luke, Pat Hogg, Diana Waters, Margaret Evans, Peggy Hyams, Valeric Carr, jMary Ross, Pat Harle, Dawn Bass, Trixie Hargraves, P.
