The Woolworth "sit-down" strike has been settled. The strikers obtained a five-cent hourly wage increase, applicable to 40 stores.
PITTSBURGH STRIKE THREAT
NEW YORK, March 6.
The employees of the Westinghouse Electric Company at Pittsburgh have demanded a 20 per cent, increase in pay, failing which they threaten to strike.
