HOLE CUT IN TRUNK,

BOMBAY, October 22,

When the P. and O. liner Strathnaver arrived it was reported that thieves cut a hole in a large trunk and stole £5000 worth of jewellery from a first-class cabin when the ship was seven days from Bombay. An elaborate search: by detectives and Customs officers §o far has failed.
