OLD GIRLS' BALL

The annual ball organised by tlie committee of the Sty Mary's College Old Girls' Association and held in the St. Francis Hall, Hill Street, last evening was a very happy and cheerful one. There was a good attendance of members and friends, arid excellent arrangements had been made to. ensure the success of the function.

Large bowls of holly Iceland poppies in gold ; and yellow tonings were at the top of the stairs leading into the main hall, and. inside festoons of green and orange streamers; and bunches of balloons added to the bright effect. ' Where the . hostesses were seated flags . of." all. nationalities were draped on the wall, and a warm-: ly glowing gas heater,added to their comfort.
