ST. MARY'S COLLEGE
OLD GIRLS' BALL
The annual ball organised by tlie committee of the Sty Mary's College Old Girls' Association and held in the St. Francis Hall, Hill Street, last evening was a very happy and cheerful one. There was a good attendance of members and friends, arid excellent arrangements had been made to. ensure the success of the function.
Large bowls of holly Iceland poppies in gold ; and yellow tonings were at the top of the stairs leading into the main hall, and. inside festoons of green and orange streamers; and bunches of balloons added to the bright effect. ' Where the . hostesses were seated flags . of." all. nationalities were draped on the wall, and a warm-: ly glowing gas heater,added to their comfort. In addition-to■ dancing,provision" was made in the lounge upstairs ior several tables of bridge. •'.-' /.:..
