A DRY SHAMPOO
This is a safe way to clean the hair ] of invalids, and also the children's hair, too, if they happen to be suffering from colds during the wet weather (states the "Cape Times"). Take a thick layer of cotton wool. Brush the hairbrush over it several times, until the bristles have a thick layer of cotton wool on them, then thoroughly brush the hair. Comb the soiled cotton wool out of the brush, and repeat until the cotton wool remains white. :
