KILBIRNIE CARD PARTY

The card party held last evening by the committee of the. Kilbirnie branch of the R.S.A. was well attended, and an enjoyable time was spent by those participating. Supper was served by the ladies' committee, during which opportunity was ■ taken to express the thanks of the committee to all those present who so consistently helped to make the Tuesday evenings such a success. It was now quite apparent . that the card. evenings conducted by the committ ee were regarded as an institution and were looked forward to every week by a large number. The prize-winners at bridge were Mrs. D'Postine and Mr. F. Flipp, arid the five hundred prizes went to Mrs. A. Boesley and S. Farrant. It was announced that the winners of the recent xake competition at the bazaar were Mrs. Angus, Mrs. R. Parkin, and Miss AllporW for- the best sponge, scones, and shortbreads respectively. - - The winners at the ladies' card afternoon were Mrs. H. Rudkin "500" and Mrs. Leathing bridge. i
