DEATH BY DROWNING
A verdict of death by drowning in Wellington Harbour was returned by the Coroner (Mr. E. Gilbertson. J.P.) at the inquest today into the death of Harry Rollinson, aged 60, a tailor's cutter, of Cambridge Terrace, whose body was recovered from the harbour near the ■ Clyde Quay Wharf on February 10. There was no evidence, the Coroner added, to show how the body entered the water.
Dorothy Rollinson, the widow, said Mr. Rollinson rose at 3 a.m. on February 10, but as he was an habitual early riser it did not seem strange. He was not in financial difficulties, but he had not been quite normal for about two weeks prior to his death. He left no note showing that he intended to commit suicide.
Constable S. C. < Coleman, who examined the body, said there were no marks of violence on it, and Dr. P. P. Lynch, consultant pathologist at the Wellington Public Hospital, said the condition of the organs was consistent With drowning.
