LOCAL WOOL SALE CHEQUE
The value of the wool sold at the Wellington sale on January 6 totalled £395,858 2s . lid, compared witn £221,293 for the corresponding sale last year, the average price per bale being £13 2s 3:3 d. as against £9 14s l£d in January, 1934. A comparison of the two sales on figures supplied by the Wellington Woolbrokers' Association is as follows:— loari. 19: m. The two sales held in Wellington so far this season have realised a total of £725,501, compared with £333,601 for the December-January sales of last season, and £1,052,818 for the corresponding sales of the 1933-34 season.
