MEETING AT TRENTHAM

' A happy anticipated event \which: took place recently was. the plain and fancy dress party held by the Trentham Women's Institute at the "Wayside" recently. About sixty children were present. Several of the young ones entertained with songs, recitations, and dances. Father Christmas arrived during afternoon tea, much to the delight of the children. Prizes for fancy dress were awarded to' the following:—J. Swanson, S. Beddou, J.D. Laney, L. King, I. Cooper, C. Swanson. A beautiful tree was in .evidence and the tables were gaily decorated. Much credit was given to the ladies who were responsible for the party.
