BEEF TO BRITAIN

AUSTRALIAN SHIPMENTS

(Received December 10, 2.30 p.m.)

LONDON, December 9.

With some meat which the next agreement covers already en route, agreement has not yet been obtained in connection with Australia's beef shipments to Britain between January 1 and April 1. Consequently merchants and ship owners are anxious that the figures should be announced. ■

The Australian Associated Press Agency understands that the figures have been sent to Canberra, and that an answer is awaited.
