BATHING AT ORIENTAL BAY
(To the Editor.) Sir, —May I have a little space to make a suggestion with regard to the bathing facilities at Oriental Bay? I suggest that a raft be placed off shore for the use of bathers as is the custom in other large cities. The raft would not damage the aesthetic value of the bay as a residential area, but would add enormously .to the pleasure of those swimming. A comparison with Auckland beaches would prove my suggestion a necessity and not an extravagance.—l am, etc.,
PANDORA.
The air mail dispatched from London on November 17 and November 24 will arrive at Wellington by the Monowai on Monday,
