BRONZE STATUETTE

MYSTERY PARCELS OPENED

The two parcels which Mr. G. Shirtcliffe, a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum, discovered among his belongings in the baggage room of the Tamaroa during his return voyage to New Zealand were opened yesterday afternoon, and one contained a bronze statuette and the other a stand for the ornament. Further details concerning the gift, which is for the Art Gallery, will not be available until it has been submitted to the selection committee.
