M.C.C. TEAM'S TOUR

MATCH WITH ATJSTKALIA

COMMENCEMENT TODAY

SYDNEY, December 5.

The M.C.C. team has returned to Sydney from Brisbane, and all the players are fit for the match with an Australian eleven, the final engagement of the Australian section of the team's tour.

' The team, has been booked to sail for New Zealand by the Wanganella next Thursday, but if the strike continues other arrangements will have to be made.

.The captain (E. R. T. Holmes), interviewed, said that several of the players entertained hopes that they would return next year as members of the English Test team. He expressed the opinion that the Test team's personnel would be vastly different from that of the last team which visited Australia. G. O. Allen possibly would be captain.

The M.C.C. team to meet Australia in the match set down for Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, is: Holmes, Lyttelton, Baxter, Human, Powell, Barber, Parks, Langridge, Sims, Smith, Hardstaff.
