■> Levin and Co., Ltd.. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated November 22, giving North Island frozen meat quotations aj follows: —Lambs, none offering, wethers, under 48 5 l-8d per lb, 48/56 4id, 53/64 41d, 64/72 4 3-8 d; ewes, under 48 3d, 48/56 2Jd. 56/64 2 5-Bd, 64/72 2^d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/ 220 3d. Compared with last week's quotations, wethers, under 48ib. Jd per lb lower. 48/561b id per lb lower, 56' 721b 3-8 d per lb lower: ewes, under 561b and 64/721b Jd per lb lower; 56/641b l-8d per lb lower; New Zealand-beef, l-8d per lb lower. Prime lambs 2's market steady. Heavyweights market quiet and prices weakening. For wethers and ewes there is little or no demand in spite of present very low prices. The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business this week: —The market for wethers is rather easier. The market for ewes is dull. The market for lambs is weaker ior heavyweights, lightweights remain steady. The market for beef is quiet. Trade generally is slow.
