MINING RETURNS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, November 22. The return of the King Solomon Mine.this week was 550z 6dwt. Worksop Extended Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., yesterday reported. to the Wellington Stock Exchange a return of 450z from 10,100 ,cubic yards worked-in 132 hours. Golden-Dawn Mines reports that for the 12 working days ended November 11, 440 tons was treated for a realisation of £1686, taking gold at £7 2s per ounce. Talisman Dubbo Mines reports that 62? tons was treated at the Golden. Dawn battery for an approximate realisation of £473. Bulolo, New Guinea, reports production for October, with September figures in parentheses, as follows: — Dredged, 958,000 (931.000) cubic yards; bullion, oz, 16,079 (16,259); gold, fine oz, 11,186 (11,292); value in Australian currency at £8 15s a fine oz, £97,877 (£98,805); per cubic yard, 24.52 d (25.49 d): working profit, £71,820 (£72,695). From about the middle of November No. 2 dredge will be closed down for approximately six weeks, during which time the digging depth will be increased 7ft 6in and special gold-saving equipment will be added.
