MISSING AIRMEN
COLLEAGUE'S BELIEF
STILL HOPE OF RESCUE
(Received November 20, 10.55 a.m.)
DARWIN, This Day.. Captain Allen, who was associated with Sir Charles Kingsford Smith in some of his nights, believes there is still hope that Sir Charles will be found alive.
Captain Allen, who arrived with the London air mail, said that the general opinion among Royal Air Force men in Singapore was that if the missing airmen have descended in the jungle they might have met natives who would care for them.
