THESPIANS' YEAR CLOSING.

The final production of the Thespians for this year—Walter Hackett's play "Afterwards," which will be presented for a season commencing on Wednesday next in the Town Hall Concert Chamber —has already attracted great attention among theatregoers, and it should, in the opinion of those who have been present at recent rehearsals, be even mare successful than previous Thespian shows. For this show the Thespians announce that they have made a special effort, and scenery, costuming, lighting, and acting should all create a new standard for Wellington. "Afterwards" should attract those who are not confirmed theatre-goers by the novel nature of its presentation, and the clever twists of the story. The multitudinous scenes and large cast make "Afterwards" one of the most technically difficult, and at the same time most interesting, productions ever attempted in Wellington. The cast includes Warren Toogood. Zenocrate Mountjoy, Harry Painter. Nancy Williams, Norman Hannah. Gay Dean, G. H. Bassant, Alona Priestley. Hush Herd, Sylvia McLaren. Eric. Evan-Young, Hilary Henderson, Bill Bain. Mary Marshall. Evan Harrowell. G. T. Phipps-Williams. D. G. Edwards, Geoffrey Lloyd, and Gibson Philp. The play is produced by Victor S. Lloyd, assisted by Winnie Cooley. the stage manager i= Mylps F. E. Wright, tlie nroperty master and mistress E. R. Render and Florence L. Render respectively, and Ihe wardrobe mistresses Maie Webster and Ruby, Colledge.
