GIFT TEAS

A delightful gift tea was given recently by Miss Kathleen Black in honour of Miss Eila Liardet, whose marriage will take place shortly. Games and competitions were played and thoroughly enjoyed By* those present. A delicious savoury supper was served, after which Miss Liardet opened her numerpus parcels. Those present were Mesdames A. Tucker, J. Butterworth, A. Woolcott; Misses K. Black, N. Liardet, N. Alexander, M. Dooley, R. Brennan, A. Norton, G. Gray, M. Escott, H. Eastgate, and E. Mansfield.

Mrs. A. Woolcott was hostess at a kitchen tea in honour of Miss Liardet. Musical items were given by all present and games and competitions were also played, the winners being Mrs. Jepson and Miss Black. Many useful presents were received. There were present Mesdames J. Marshall, Liardet, Ward, Green, Williams, Jepson; Misses K. Black, N. Liardet, I. Nicholl, N. Green, L. Chalk, M. Quayle, P. Liardet, and G. Gray.

Miss Glee Ancell, whose marriage will take place shortly, was the guest of honour at a "pantry tea" which was given recently by Mrs. T. Spencer at her home in Berhampore. On her arrival Miss Ancell was presented with a charming bouquet of sweet peas by Mrs. Rabbitt. A variety of games and competitions provided much amusement, and recitations were given by Miss Lilian Charles, After afternoon tea had Iseen served the nuraeous gifts were brought in and unwrapped by the guest of honour, who received all the essential requirements for a well-stocked larder. Those present included Mrs. Spencer, Mrs. Rabbitt, Mrs. Bryant, Mrs. C. Ancell, Miss G. Ancell, Miss M. Spencer, Mrs. Warren, Mrs. Murray, Mrs. McKay. Miss L. Charles, Miss M. Doherty, Miss Bryant, Miss J. Garner, Miss Granger, Miss Wendleborne, Miss Leaper, Miss E. Taylor, Micses E. and L. Pattinson, Misses p! and M. Walshe, ■ Miss N. Ancell, Miss Jorgensen, and Miss N. Chandler.
