HUTT NAVAL AND MILITARY BALL
A meeting of the general committee set up in connection with the naval and military ball held recently at Lower Hutt was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Friday. Mr. W. G. Alexander presided. The treasurer reported that the total receipts amounted to £92 5s Bd. The expenditure was £27 0s Bd, so there was a balance of £65 5s to be divided between the R.S.A. Benevolent and Welfare Fund, the Red Cross Society, and the Mayor's Relief Fund. The committee thanked all those who had so ably assisted in making the ball a social and financial success. The members of the committee are arranging to hold a dance in the R.S.A. rooms on Saturday, November 16. '
