THREE PEOPLE INJURED
ACCIDENT IN TAITA GORGE
h. roadster car containing three passengers and travelling towards Wellington crashed through the fence on! the right-hand side of the road in the Taita Gorge about a quarter of a mile north of the Stokes Valley Road about 6.30 on Saturday evening and came to rest supported by a fencing wire, which saved it from falling into the I Hutt River about 20 feet below. The occupants of the car were Mr. Oscar Frederick Harvey, of 8 Boulcott Terrace, Wellington, who received head -injuries; his wife, Mrs. Winifred Harvey, who was cut about the head and legs; and Mr. James Emerson, of 208 Tinakori Road, who suffered'concussion. All three received medical attention and Mr. Harvey, who was the driver of the car, was taken to the Wellington Hospital. His condition was reported today to be quite satisfactory.
The car was-, extensively damaged, especially in the front.
